As the remains of Randy Kapashesit started its journey home to Moose Factory, family members and friends gathered at the Cree Village Ecolodge. It is here that a tipi has been built for Randy, and a sacred fire has been lit which will burn for four days.
After the fire ceremony, and a small feast, the friends and family gathered outside to await the plane which flew overhead and circled Moose Factory before landing in Moosonee.
